 Danny has worked extensively with Anthony Isaacs (SBJ Station Sound) over the last three years as main station voice on IDs and promos.

It’s a pleasure to work with you, your hard work has paid off  (and this after a Sony 2 years ago too !)

Danny was also the promo voice for Breaking news – BBC Devon ”One Night in Halden’, and holiday fill in for Bronze Interactivity winner Jim Hawkins on BBC Radio Shropshire.

Danny was able to turn around the voicing for a new top-of-hour sequence enabling BBC Radio Shropshire to start promoting a major phone-in within minutes of it being confirmed.

Working with Programmes Editor Tim Page, Danny voiced the track in his home studio, adding processing, before delivering the finished track back to Shropshire via Danny’s servers. Minutes later it was the new top-of-hour sequence.

Danny can be heard fronting the late show this weekend on the BBC stations in the Midlands listed below. The shows air on Saturday and Sunday 9pm – Midnight.

Danny has just completed recording the voice links for the new BBC Somerset ID package. 

Commissioned by Editor Jess Rudkin and produced by Jon Bennett, Danny recorded the lines in Oxford, while Jon produced in Somerset and France.

As well as the lines, a jingle demo, voiced by Danny was also recorded to introduce the new IDs to staff.  The new package ties in with the arrival of new breakfast host Andy Burrows, and airs soon on BBC Somerset.

Danny has been busy creating two new websites recently.

Grammatical Errors.com aims to “make the world a better place, one apostrophe at a time”. The website has been created to highlight the poor use of grammar in public places, if you have the prestigious honour of having your work laid out in public in front of many people surely the least you can do is display it properly. The site very much exists out of photos sent in by contributors who’ve spotted signs/banners/posters near them.

 

 

Oxford Weather.com holds historical weather data for the city of Oxford. The main focus of the site is actually an hourly feed to Twitter of the latest weather conditions in the city. The website then holds that data and more and can be searched for record high/low temperatures, wind speed etc. The service is totally automated and has been gaining followers across the world, all keen to see the developing weather conditions in one of the world’s most famous cities. The site is still being developed but is very much secondary to the Twitter feed (which now includes occasional forecasts).

Danny can be heard on BBC Radio Shropshire all this week on the morning show covering for Jim Hawkins, then for the next couple of Mondays he gets a lie-in and moves to Drive for John Darvall. For both shows Twitter is used extensively at dannycoxlive.
